Manufacturing Success Stories / Warrior-A UAS Maintenance and Operations Facility Integration Support
 |
| Warrior-A UAS |
DESCRIPTION: Due to a time critical effort in support of the Warrior-A UAS fielding to Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), the Prototype Integration Facility (PIF) has been tasked with analyzing, acquiring, integrating, testing support equipment and developing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in support of the Warrior-A maintenance and operations facility. This effort will allow PM UAS to support operations, maintenance and sustainment efforts required to conduct Warrior-A flight operations in OEF.
CUSTOMER: Program Manager, Unmanned Aircraft System (PM-UAS).
TEAMING EFFORT: The PIF and its prime contractor, Joint Venture Yulista & Science and Engineering Services Inc. (JVYS) has developed a Warrior-A deployment Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), conducted an analysis, acquired, integrated and tested the Warrior-A maintenance and operations facility consisting of generators, modified shipping containers, Automatic Transfer Switch/Power Distribution Units, HVACs, Ground Data Terminal Towers, Harris AN/PRC152 radio systems and a LAMS-A shelter.
PIF's ROLE: The PIF will provide program management oversight and assist with the analysis and procurement of required support equipment in order to provide an operations, maintenance and sustainment facility that will support Warrior-A UAS operations in OEF.
BENEFITS OF USING THE PIF:
- Government to Government interface allows for rapid execution.
- The PIF offers the customer a total turn-key program.
