Prototype Integration Facility

The Prototype Integration Facility (PIF) was established by the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center to provide the aviation, missile, and technical communities with the capacity and capability to perform prototype development, manufacturing, systems integration, modification, production, sustainment, and subsystem/system testing.

SESI entered into a Small Business Administration (SBA) approved joint venture with an 8(a) Alaska Native Corporation (ANC), Yulista Management Services (YMS). Together, this partnership is referred to as Joint Venture Yulista and Science and Engineering Services Inc. (JVYS). On June 17, 2002, JVYS was awarded and selected to serve as the Prime Contractor in support of the U.S. Army PIF. The JVYS contract ceiling is $1.5 Billion with current period of performance expiring June 2012.

JVYS has established a reputation for excellence and an atmosphere of dynamic partnerships with both industry and government partners. JVYS currently has teaming relationships with over 150 plus DoD subcontractors and over 2500 material vendors.

Vision: Provide Department of Defense (DoD) activities a rapid acquisition, rapid response, and best value alternative to solve technical problems and provide hardware solutions to the warfighter.

Mission: Rapidly provide high-quality product solutions through the use of agile development and rapid acquisition, engineering, development, prototyping, fabrication, integration, and fielding of warfighting and other federal and homeland defense capabilities.
